London Brush Company Brush Shampoo in Lavander
So I just ran out of Parian Spirit before The Makeup Show Chicago. I was going to pick some up at the show but no one was selling it. I stopped at London Brush Company booth and the owner, Siân Richards was raving about her Brush Shampoo so I had to get it.

Ingredients: Essential Oils, Goat Milk, Pure Organic Cleansers and Tea Tree
Chemical-free

I hate, Hate, HATE to clean my brushes! And judging by what I see on twitter, everyone else does too. The process of mixing the cleansers, cleaning/deep cleaning each brush, cleaning the bowl/area and the drying time is just discouraging. London Brush Company Brush Shampoo eliminates the mixing and cleanup steps. Plus since the shampoo is solid so there’s no mess and you’re not wasting product.
I was combining all this to clean my brushes:
The blue Dawn soap- $1
Parian Spirit- $12
MAC Brush Cleaner- $13
and a little Olive Oil (for conditioning)- around $4
So that’s about $30 worth of products for brush cleaner. Up to $45 a year if I need to replace the Parian Spirit and MAC cleaner.
The enemy

Wet your brush in warm water

Swirl it around the jar

Work brush in palm of your hand, rinse, squeeze out excess water and Voilà!

Let your brushes dry flat and there you go! Just make sure you rinse the shampoo jar and leave it open to dry.
I find that I don’t clean my brushes as long as I used to. I swirl my brush no more than 3 times to get a full lather and I only need to do this once per brush. If you’re washing brand new brushes you literally need to swipe it once (no matter the size of the brush) to get a full lather. It’s cheaper than my previous regimen and it lasts longer. Siân said 1 jar will last around 6 months and I believe she was speaking about working make up artists who have more brushes to wash and washes them way more often than the average person. So if you don’t have a lot of brushes this could potentially last you a year.
London Brush Company Brush Shampoo makes everything go so much quicker and easier to where I don’t even mind washing my brushes. *whispers* I actually kind of enjoy it now. It leaves your brushes clean AND conditioned while smelling lovely.
Don’t like lavender? The shampoo is available in lemon and unscented too.
