Introducing a new product from Abreva. An invisible cold sore patch that hides and heals cold sores. I don’t have a cold sore so I used them over acne blemishes.

It’s a small, clear, non-medicated circular patch that protects cold sores while hiding them for up to 8 hours. Best of all you can apply makeup over. It has a MicroAir technology that allows air in while keeping contaminants out.

Directions

You have to be very careful on how you place it because if it’s too tight or loose then it will wrinkle up and will be more noticeable. If you don’t apply it right the applicator tab might not peel off easily and you’ll have to start over or use another one. So take your time when applying them.
The patches are very thin so once it’s on the patch blends and stays in place. My one issue is that it’s really shiny. So as usual I applied my concealer first, then foundation and powder. Powder can really help take the shine away. It holds makeup well but the product will rub off if you touch it too much.
I didn’t feel the patch on my face at all while wearing them. It is easily noticeable close up because of the shine but it starts looking invisible when standing more than 2 feet away. I wish they were a little more matte. What I do like about it is that the patches really do make blemishes look flatter.
I would probably use Abreva Conceal if I did in fact have a cold sore. They allow you to treat your cold sores and cover them with makeup without any side effects.
