Hey dudes and dudettes! Surf’s Up!
*I’m NC45 for reference and all shadows were applied with MAC paint pot in Painterly as a base*
Well kudos to MAC is all I can say.
Eyeshadows
All of the eyeshadows are great. They’re crazy pigmented and all apply easily except for Saffron. Saffron is hard to swatch but it’s still a beautiful crease color. Sun Blonde was a pleasant surprise, it’s supposed to be a frost but it reminds me as more of a satin. Surf USA is the prettiest of them all, it’s a gorgeous teal. *drools at the thought of it* I do recommend that WOC use a bright base when using Surf USA so the color can really pop. Swell Baby is a standard grey, it’s very pretty but easily dupeable.
Cheek Powder
I’ll admit My Paradise is extremely beautiful but when applied it doesn’t wow me. The gold overspray could be easier to blend and the coral is just OK in my opinion. It’s clearly going to be the first thing that sells out but it’s just another one of the products that’s hyped up because it looks good, so don’t throw a fit if you don’t get it.
Hibuscus Lipstick
Toxic Tale is kind of a dupe of Hibiscus but Hibiscus is wayyyyyy more WOC friendly and applies better. It really is a great summer color.

I really like this collection, but everything I was drawn to – I can dupe. >.< The limited editions teal/turquoise always pull at my heart though.. so pretty!

LOVE your haul. glad i grabbed my paradise. it had better be in the mail. im supposed to go to the launch on thursday so if there is anything good left by the time i go, i may pick up some other items. i’ll be sure to share what i got.
