This is one of MACs summer collections. I love the bronze packaging. Temperature Rising is full of warmer shades with tons of shimmer. Most of the Temperature Rising Collection is sold out online but it’s in stores May 23.

I love both blushes. Hot Nights is perfect for all skin tones while Ripe for Love may only suit lighter to medium skin tones. Hot Nights has some shimmer in it but it isn’t noticeable.

Underdressed lipglass- $16.50

I’m in love with glitter glosses! I was originally excited for all 4 of the lipglasses in this collection but the other 3 didn’t have enough glitter or pigment to them so I just bought Underdressed. I like it but I’m not in love. I don’t like dark lippies for summer but if I was darker and the shade was a nude on me I would love it. It also applies a bit unevenly.

Feel My Pulse lipstick- $16.50

Love this shade but it isn’t anything you haven’t seen from MAC before. It’s very creamy to the point it’s harder to apply evenly. It’s a bold magenta color not super bright, great for summer.

Golden Elixir Strobe Liquid- $31

After hearing so much about Strobe Liquid lately I decided to pick this up. This is the Golden Elixir version and features a ton of simmer and bronze. Strobe liquid has multiple uses. You can apply directly to the skin or mix it in lotion, moisturizer or liquid foundation. I mixed it in with my foundation and saw a subtle change. You won’t look like a Twilight extra but it provides a glow.

Ok so after stalking the MAC site and fighting with Rihana Navy to order this lipstick it has finally come in.

It has Rihannas RiRi signature embedded in it.

Ok so let’s face it there’s little to no difference between Ruby Woo and RiRi Woo. I knew what I was getting into before I bought it based on the few swatches that were out there.

Being a Rihanna fan and a Ruby Woo lover I am not upset I bought it. I can understand why a lot of people are upset though. Sometimes I forget to take off my blogger hat and put on my consumer hat. If you aren’t deep in the beauty world and just going on what you saw Rihanna tweet or instagram you wouldn’t have known they are dupes for each other. So if you are disappointed that you already have Ruby Woo and stalked the MAC site for hours it’s ok to feel that way. You can always return if you want or just keep it as a backup or keepsake. At the end of the day it’s still a very pretty lipstick.

It sold out in 3 hours but you’ll be able to purchase it in June. Rihanna has a few different collections with MAC coming out from summer to winter and RiRi will be released in all of them.

We all have problems with detangling, especially those with thick, course hair. Detangling can take up a lot of time and cause breakage and damage to your hair. Well I have something that might help. The Wet Brush!

Ok, ok just by looking at the brush you can’t see a difference between this and any paddle brush. “The Wet Brush is in the specially formulated IntelliFlex bristles. IntelliFlex bristles are thin, strong and very flexible. They have intelligent flexibility – flexible on one stroke and firm on the next.” The propose is to eliminate all tangles, matting, split ins or hair loss you might have while brushing your hair.

I really wanted this because I’ve been wearing extensions lately and if you brush too harshly hair will come out and they are expensive so I want to keep all the hair I paid for. lol. I originally thought you had to use the Wet Brush on wet hair only so I was only using it after washing my hair. I immediately noticed that I was detangling my hair without any tugging or pulling. The process was relatively easy AND I noticed that I loss less hair!

Now since I’ve found out that I can use it on dry hair, I’ve retired all brushes except the vent brush I use for blow drying. It does seem to take a little longer on dry hair but in full disclosure my hair is thick. The brush works in layers to prevent any tearing.

The brush is sturdy and well made. It has a non slip handle so you can use it in the shower. I don’t worry that it won’t last long and fall apart easily.

MAC MAC Definitely Defined Extra Dimension Skinfinish – $30.00

This is pretty but the most passable skin finish in this collection. The lighter shade is a pinkish sliver and it’s very metallic and frosty. I don’t even feel comfortable using it as a highlighter because of that. The darker shade is more friendly. It’s too light to be used as a blush on my skintone but it is a pretty highlight. I’ll probably only use the darker color, even when it’s swirled together the sheen from the lighter shade takes over.

With all that being said. It’s still very pigmented. I love the extra dimension formula. It’s smooth, blends and buffs well plus buildable.

Exfoliation Simulates Spalicious Body Scrub/ Skin softening natural all body exfoliating treatment

· Ingredients: ½ cup olive oil, ¾ cup fine sea salt and drops of your favorite aromatherapy oil. Keep in mind the oil selected should be specific to treatment goal – citrus is energizing – lavender relaxing – peppermint stimulating
· Place all items in a bowl and blend together
· Next, step into the shower and moisten the body – apply the blend by hand in circular motion or for increased exfoliation apply with loofah mitt or body brush
· Rinse off thoroughly. Skin will feel smooth and soft and supple. For further hydration apply body lotion directly to moist skin

Facial for Extra Dry Skin
Skin softening avocado mask for combination or dry skin
· Ingredients: ½ avocado, 1 egg, 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil and 1 teaspoon of baking soda.
The avocado and coconut oils work as an instant skin softener as the baking soda works as a mild exfoliator
· Place all items in bowl and blend well together
· Apply the mixture to your face and leave on for 10-15 minutes
· Rinse off with warm water

Foot Scrub for Dry Feet and Heels Simulates Foot Rehab Pedicure
· Begin by soaking feet in ¼ cup baking soda to reduce inflammation and cleanse feet thoroughly for 10 minutes
· Using a wet pumice stone rub heels thoroughly yet gently to remove dry callous
· Next, apply coconut oil to feet
· Finally, wrap feet in plastic and cover with soft socks for 30 minutes. The plastic and warmth will help the oil to soften the skin.

MAC Shape the Future Extra Dimension Skinfinish – $30.00

This is my favorite skinfinish of all time. It is absolutely gorgeous. The top color is an iridescent light pink that you can use alone as a highlight. The bottom color is a light brick that would be a fantastic blush color, especially for dark and deep skin tones. Swirled together they make a beautiful orange-red.

I’ve been wearing this everyday. The formula is brilliant. The pigmentation and texture are amazing. It blends like a dream and lasts all day. One of these will last you forever.
